What I do:

I work with technology companies in structuring, drafting, and negotiating their commercial and strategic partnering relationships and contracts. I also work with tech companies, venture capital firms, and private equity firms in connection with the intellectual property and technology aspects of investments, mergers and acquisitions, and IPOs.

Why Cooley:

I’ve worked for firms in the New York, Silicon Valley, and Boston legal markets.  No other firm that I’ve come across can match the depth and breadth of technical and legal expertise Cooley is able to provide to start-ups and emerging growth companies, and the firms that invest in them.  Just as important, no other firm that I’ve come across so seamlessly establishes friendly, collaborative, long-term working relationships with its clients.

What my clients value:

I think our clients value the ability of the technology transactions group at Cooley to analyze and boil down complex business partnerships and the commercialization of complex technologies into practical, business oriented advice and counseling.  We do this every day and can quickly and efficiently advise clients on what we’re seeing in the market.

Great reads:

Travels with Charley.  Anything by David McCullough or Doris Kearns Goodwin.

I root for:

Notre Dame.  My hometown St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues.  For Will Ferrell to continue making movies.
