Portrait of Sale Kwon

What I do:
I work with private companies of all stages and venture capital investors in many industries, advising them on company formations, corporate governance and equity matters, venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic and commercial transactions.

Why Cooley:
We really immerse ourselves in the industries of our clients and use that knowledge in every transaction we work on.

When I wasn’t a Cooley attorney:
I did a one-year stint at Cooley and then was a captain in the Republic of Korea Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps working on deals, like representing the Republic of Korea in negotiating defense procurement transactions with US and European defense contractors, as well as with defense departments of various countries around the world. I’ve been back at Cooley since 2013.
