KISS

KISS (“Keep It Simple Security“) is a term initially used by 500 Startups that describes short “open source” documents that have been drafted for use in early-stage private company financing deals. These documents are the result of multiple discussions with a number of Silicon Valley law firms and early-stage venture investors, and purport to include all of the material features that should be required in early-stage financing documents. The purpose of KISS documents is to save founders and investors time and money. KISS documents are available in both debt and equity versions via Cooley GO Docs.
