Inter partes review is a way to challenge the validity of an issued U.S. patent based on prior art patents or printed publications.
If you have reason to believe that a US patent is invalid and never should have been issued, you may be able to challenge the patent’s validity using a USPTO process that is much cheaper than litigation.
